Day 24: Tips for Online Shopping

How to buy Leggings online:

  1. Know your hip and thigh measurements as their should be size guide
  2. Realize that one size fits all is BS and they are made for a medium with a little extra stretch (I know, as that was an original option for manufacturing my own leggings) and women are NOT one size fits all
  3. Does the company have an instagram that include photos that aren’t just stock?
  4. Are they transparent?
  5. What material are they? Cotton leggings tend to get a nasty fuzz from chafing
  6. Are they dri fit? No? Do you want the world to see your booty sweat?
  7. If you have extra long legs, understand that unless the leggings are made to me extra long chances are they will fall just above the ankle
  8. Are they workout leggings? Or casual leggings? or both?
  9. Do they have a clear return policy?  It’s ok if they do not provide free returns and exchanges, but make sure that’s a possibility in case the leggings don’t fit!
  10. Do they have a customer service contact?  Email, phone, social media?  No? Be careful, there are a lot of scam websites!

Day 20: Tips for Veggie Haters

Today was actually supposed to be tips for gardeners, but I don’t garden.  I do however, help people add more servings of veggies to their current diets.

If you’re like me, you hate vegetables.  My mom tells me I’m the worst vegetarian because I hate vegetables, and hardly ever do raw veggies. However, I still make sure to get my 6-8 cups of colorful veggies in minimum every single day.  How do I do this when I hate vegetables?  I find ways to hide them.  I chop/dice them up into teeny tiny pieces and create chipotle like bowls where the rice and beans overpower the taste of the vegetables.  Or if i’m having pasta I add them in, but hide them in the pesto or tomato sauce. I add handfuls of spinach to my shakes.  Or I make veggie sticks and hide the taste with hummus or guac.  If I make Omelets I pack them up with bell pepper, mushrooms, spinach, etc.

Day 19: Share a Recipe with June Produce

Totally skipped yesterday.  I chose to enjoy Father’s day and be more in the moment, which is a rare thing for me.  I don’t usually unplug from client communication.

But today I am supposed to share a recipe using June produce, but I am not sure what’s specifically June produce, so here’s a recipe!

Antioxidant Toast
•Ingredients: 2 Slices of Ezekial Toast, 1 TBSP Salted Crunchy Peanut Butter, 1/2 banana, 2 Strawberries, Chia Seeds
•Directions:
1. Toast Bread Slices
2. Spread 1 TBSP of Peanut Butter
3. Slice up 🍓 and 🍌
4. Sprinkle 1 TSP of Chia Seeds
5. 54g Carbs, 10g Fat, 14g Pro

Day 16: Summer Bucket List

I don’t really view summer any different as I do winter and spring.  It’s been that way since I graduated High School and spent all of my summers in class and working.  So my day to day activities stay the same.

We did get an unexpected chance to go to Dominican Republic visit family and spend 2 nights in Punta Cana, so that is something I’m definitely looking forward to.

Other than that the goal this summer is to test out the 75 workouts that will be in my upcoming ebook and put it together for it’s December release.  I am also currently working on getting the next LetlerFit Collection together for a Tentative august/September release along with a new site!

For the house we are working on getting the roof up, if this rain ever lets out.  We need a 48 hour clear forecast and it doesn’t seem like June will be giving that to us, which is NOT good because we’re on an insurance time crunch.  We are also working on finally finishing the stairs, but we also need a clear forecast for that to use the laminate cutter outside and leave the wooden part of the rails to dry outside so the stain doesn’t stink up the house again.

I wear my own apparel a good 80% of the time and I work in activewear so the occasion that I’m seen out of leggings is very RARE!

Day 12: How to fight Burnout

So this post is supposed to be advice on how to handle summer blogging burnout, but since I do not by any means consider myself a blogger, I’m going to write about summer fitness goal burnout.

Because this society views fitness in short term, versus long term, people spend the first 3-4 months of the year shedding their holiday wait and prepping for the summer only to slowly fall into a downward spiral to repeat the same toxic cycle over when the new year hits.

So, how do you break the cycle?  I get that summer is hard because you have more BBQs, More vacations, more time to go to the beach, go out, but what about the goals you’ve worked so hard to achieve?  How do you keep them in Check?  There’s no need to avoid going out in order to avoid gaining weight.

10 Tips to Making you Summer body, your winter Body:

  1. Keep Alcohol to 1-3 drinks a week
  2. Don’t drink your calories in juices, sodas, etc.
  3. Make healthy choices at restaurants!  Most places have a light and fit menu with more realistic portion sizes.
  4. Request cutting the salt a restaurant uses for the dish in half, or excluding it altogether because chances are they hide salt in the sauces without realizing it.
  5. Don’t skip your workouts!
  6. Replace a meal with a healthy shake!  I’ve been drinking the same meal replacement every day for 4 years now and love it! Definitely helps keep me in check when I’ve gone too far passed moderation!  Click here for more info!
  7. Don’t forget your water!  Avoid retaining water, skin break outs, and dehydration from the summer heat!
  8. Swap the fried for the grilled!
  9. Swap the processed sugars for REAL sugars found in fruits, vegetables, and grains.
  10. It’s ok to eat the pizza and have the slice of cake!  It’s just not ok to eat more of that than you do whole foods!

Day 9: 2017 Goal Checklist

Like I said in one of the earlier June blogs I set goals in the following categories

  • Household
  • Business
  • Personal Fitness

We have officially owned our house for a year now and have done all of the smaller remodeling projects and are down to the final 6 projects: The kitchen, the first floor tiles, roof, balcony tiles, half bathroom, and the master bathroom.  The goal for this year was to finish the kitchen, first floor, half bathroom, and balcony tiles as it’s a project that would get done all at once.  Then next year we were going to re do the roof and possibly the master bath, but the insurance said otherwise.  This year we had to re do the roof which means another year with an outdated kitchen and floors that get a spec of dust and look dirty despite just having cleaned them.

My fitness goals was to get my strength back to wear it was pre-surgery and pre-injury, which is in progress!

Business wise  have hit 25% of them and the other 50% are on track to being hit while the final 25% need a miracle…BUT I’m still working for them. I have also recently added more goals to the list and are getting done as well!

What has helped me turn by “New Years Resolutions” that no one ever keeps into goals that actually get reached is keeping them in constant site.
