My Fitness Pal:  It hands down my favorite way to track food.  While the major con is it does not teach people about ho important macronutrients is in making up total calorie intake for the day it does a pretty great job at estimating total calorie needs as well as macronutrient and micronutrient needs depending on the persons goal.  The food library is also the most complete I have seen, you can even go out to eat and enter a popular restaurants menu and it will pop up!  Do NOT use it to input calories burned….it gives you 10x what you actually burned…Also, For those who wish to get more specific about nutrient timing you can get the premium app and set nutrient needs for each meal.  With premium you can also set up specific macros.
  2. My Wod:  While I no longer crossfit I do still use this app to track my weight lifting records and as a timer.  You can set it up for a tabata, standard, coundown, or interval timer so it makes life easier by providing a timely beep.
  3. Fooducate:  While this app can double as a food diary it is not as complete as my fitness pal.  Where this app is amazing is that you can scan any barcode at the grocery store or look up the food and it will give the food a rating from A+ to F and tell you why that food got that rating.  It is a great tool in teaching people what to look and look out for at the grocery store.
  4. Daily Water-Drink Tracker:  For those that struggle to remember to drink water and stay hydrated this app helps you track your water and will send you reminders to drink water if you are slacking for the day.
  5. Map My Run:  Every blue moon you may find me out on a run.  This app tracks distance, time, pace, and routes for your running or walking bouts.

Day 24: Tips for Online Shopping

How to buy Leggings online:

  1. Know your hip and thigh measurements as their should be size guide
  2. Realize that one size fits all is BS and they are made for a medium with a little extra stretch (I know, as that was an original option for manufacturing my own leggings) and women are NOT one size fits all
  3. Does the company have an instagram that include photos that aren’t just stock?
  4. Are they transparent?
  5. What material are they? Cotton leggings tend to get a nasty fuzz from chafing
  6. Are they dri fit? No? Do you want the world to see your booty sweat?
  7. If you have extra long legs, understand that unless the leggings are made to me extra long chances are they will fall just above the ankle
  8. Are they workout leggings? Or casual leggings? or both?
  9. Do they have a clear return policy?  It’s ok if they do not provide free returns and exchanges, but make sure that’s a possibility in case the leggings don’t fit!
  10. Do they have a customer service contact?  Email, phone, social media?  No? Be careful, there are a lot of scam websites!

Day 22: Favorite Iphone Apps

I have over 40 Apps not including Social Media apps on my phone, which is probably a lot less than most people my age, but I have 10 that I use almost every day and they are ALL free.

  1. Snapseed:  great for amateur picture editing
  2. Play Memories:  Allows me to transfer my photos from my camera to my phone via wifi
  3. Bitmoji:  Who doesn’t want to see themselves as an emoji?
  4. Flo:  Period tracker and Virtual contraceptive tool, a must for all women!
  5. Letgo: a local sales app that combined with Offer Up has made me an extra 2k in the last year of easy money
  6. Offerup: a local sales app that combined with Letgo has made me an extra 2k in the last year of easy money
  7. Atlas: A must for all your anatomy and physio needs

Day 21: Tips for Beating Workout Procrastination

Today was supposed to be about giving tips to blogging procrastination, but I’m not a blogger, so instead, I will be giving you 5 Tips on beating workout procrastination!

  1. Get Started!  The hardest part is actually starting, but I have never met anyone who regrets starting the workout once they have finished.
  2. Get it out of the way first thing in the morning!  The same way you should do all of the hard stuff first!
  3. Think about your goals.  How bad do you want them?
  4. Are you a parent?  Be the role model you want to be for your children.   Teach them to make their health and fitness a priority by leading from the front.
  5. Do exercise that’s fun for you! If it’s not fun for you there’s less chance you’ll get it done.  For example I HATE steady state cardio, but I can enjoy Interval Training for my Cardio!

Day 19: Share a Recipe with June Produce

Totally skipped yesterday.  I chose to enjoy Father’s day and be more in the moment, which is a rare thing for me.  I don’t usually unplug from client communication.

But today I am supposed to share a recipe using June produce, but I am not sure what’s specifically June produce, so here’s a recipe!

Antioxidant Toast
•Ingredients: 2 Slices of Ezekial Toast, 1 TBSP Salted Crunchy Peanut Butter, 1/2 banana, 2 Strawberries, Chia Seeds
•Directions:
1. Toast Bread Slices
2. Spread 1 TBSP of Peanut Butter

Day 17: How do I keep my Daily Tasks Organized

Unless I have meetings or clients that are set at specific times I usually have my day filled with tasks that need to get done.  I work all of my tasks around the set meeting or client times as those are top priorities for the day.

All of my tasks I divide up into Morning, Afternoon, and Night.  Within those 3 time frames I list all of the tasks in order of most important to least important.  I try to keep my day as busy and productive as possible, because if I don’t I get easily distracted and not everything gets accomplished ironically.  Sometimes things pop up and mess up your original plan, but that’s just life and you have to work around it.

I function really well off post its and to do lists, as I don’t do well with keeping things organized electronically.  To keep things from piling up I NEVER go to bed unless everything is done, because getting lazy on yourself is one of the worst things you can do especially as your own boss in my opinion.

Once my day, week, or month is planned out I add in my workout time, which usually ends up being in the middle of the day or late at night.

Day 16: Summer Bucket List

I don’t really view summer any different as I do winter and spring.  It’s been that way since I graduated High School and spent all of my summers in class and working.  So my day to day activities stay the same.

We did get an unexpected chance to go to Dominican Republic visit family and spend 2 nights in Punta Cana, so that is something I’m definitely looking forward to.

Other than that the goal this summer is to test out the 75 workouts that will be in my upcoming ebook and put it together for it’s December release.  I am also currently working on getting the next LetlerFit Collection together for a Tentative august/September release along with a new site!

For the house we are working on getting the roof up, if this rain ever lets out.  We need a 48 hour clear forecast and it doesn’t seem like June will be giving that to us, which is NOT good because we’re on an insurance time crunch.  We are also working on finally finishing the stairs, but we also need a clear forecast for that to use the laminate cutter outside and leave the wooden part of the rails to dry outside so the stain doesn’t stink up the house again.
