Halloween Fitness Tips

hallowomenHalloween is less than a week away, and no matter what’s on your schedule, you’ve already picked out that perfect costume that’s going to draw all of the attention and show off your creativity. To look good in your costume, it’s always important to focus on health and fitness. Is there anything you should be doing to give you that extra burst of confidence?

With less than a week to go, you may want to stay away from foods that can cause bloating, such as broccoli or cauliflower. Abstaining from certain starches is also a good idea as these are considered a type of carb. Stick to healthy ones such as whole grains or potatoes and try to hold off on cookies or other sugary foods, at least until after Halloween or when you’re actually at the Halloween party.

If you aren’t already hitting the gym, a week isn’t going to get you in shape, but doing some cardio is always a great way to stay active. Hit up the treadmill and skip the weights if you need to for this week, just make sure you’re staying consistent and you’re receiving the right nutrition. Staying hydrated with plenty of water is also a good idea.

You’re excited about showing off your new costume and you may still be working on the finishing touches, but remember not to lose sleep over it. Make sure that you’re sleeping a sufficient amount of hours as the holiday approaches because after all, that tired look on your face isn’t going to do your fabulous costume any favors.
